It seems that the spammers have latched onto our little SWG forum as if it was a leg-humping dog. We got young'uns who peruse here, maybe it's time to moderate new members?
I know, we always want the open group, free registration, BUT.

Agreed, it's pretty annoying when you get 50 spam threads started up, and I'm sure Nis would rather not have to sort through the threads to find the unwanted posts

Yeah, there have been a few hacks very resently that can crack those image letters ment to stop bot registration. The bots will have free rain now. The only way around this is to not allow new members from posting at all until approved by us.
And don't let your kids on the internet. It's 90% porn spam and stupid bloggers. They may not be affected by the porn but those bloggers can cause PTSD for years.

My Apologies... Having not had to deal with that problem since we upgraded the forums kinda put me to sleep at the wheel.

I forgot that I'm not retarded like a previous owner of these forums.
Forums upgraded, they'll now ask you a question to be allowed to register.
Hopefully I have the buttons backed up somewhere and I'll replace them when I can. Until then your stuck with the default buttons

Old buttons should be restored now. If anyone sees a button out of place (first force refresh the cache with ctrl+f5 to make sure it hasn't been updated), right click it and give me that path and name of the .gif file.
Had to restore the buttons using Firefox's cache
