  Weekend World Bosses
Posted by: Hanak - 01-04-2012, 08:39 AM - Forum: Star Wars: The Old Republic - Replies (10)

The purpose of this thread is to put up pictures and share stories of taking down the different world bosses Saberwing has encountered and taken down.

Pictures, stories, and kudos are all welcome!

LATEST UPDATE: 2/12/2012 Took down the Belsavis world boss, had to use some interesting tactics on that one. Split up into 3 pairs to keep adds from ganging up on anyone and took them down after the main guy was dead. Loot was good! But no schem drop. After this we went to Hoth and took on Snowblind. Best thing to do was to group up and heal when the snow popped because if we ran out of the snow it increased the chance he might reset.

Group up in the late afternoon/early evening. Possible groups before lunch for a single boss takedown.

If you are getting antsy for a group, feel free to get it together.

WAIT for everyone in group to get to the boss before starting.

Don't be rude, rather 'Return with Honor'.

Here is what we have learned from the World Bosses:

Boss - Planet - Nearest Taxi Location

SD-0 on Coruscant - Old Galactic Market
1] Should you have the targeted orange indicator on your character, look for the other character with that same indicator. RUN AWAY from each other.
2] When being attacked with the static electric attack he does with two claws, stay away from other people as you have incurred a static charge debuff that will damage people near you.

Subject Alpha on Taris - Outpost Draay
1] He does a single target DOT acid attack, healers should be able to purge this.
2] Watch out for some area damage he likes to do, this is especially dangerous to lower level groups.

Trapjaw on Tatooine - Outpost Thorazan
1] Multi target stun, be ready for it.
2] He does a seemly random ranged attack so watch the outer ranged people to hit them with some heals.

Battledroid R4-GL on Nar Shaddaa - Lower Industrial Sector, MAP: http://i41.tinypic.com/1yr0j5.jpg
1] Interruptable, but when his health is at 50% you can no longer interrupt.
2] Watch for mobs that may respawn in the center.

Ulgo Seigebreaker on Alderaan - Wardpost Hurne
1] He targets healers. So physician, heal thyself.
2] Guard the healers before you go into battle and healers stay close to your guard.

Rogue Cartel Warbot on Quesh - Republic Base, MAP: http://i42.tinypic.com/9gkpx3.jpg
1] More info coming as we attack him more....he's a pain though.

  Freelancer's Star Wars Mod
Posted by: Lyra - 01-02-2012, 08:45 PM - Forum: General Saber Wing Forum - Replies (4)

Now that FreeWorlds: Tides of War is coming out soon, I was wondering if any Sabers that have Freelancer or will have Freelancer want to start a squadron when the mod is released. Seems quite fun and the graphics also seem very nice. By looking at the trailers and development videos, it barely looks like the old Freelancer. I'm hoping that at least one Saber will play this mod.

Yes I'm back probably no one cared or noticed but hey it is what it is. Now does any one want to make a donation to the cookie jar the seceretly says Star Wars Knights of The Old Rebublic funds on it? Also I started another little role playing because everything was deleted that I ever posted.

  Guild Mails
Posted by: Starfire - 12-20-2011, 05:33 PM - Forum: Star Wars: The Old Republic - Replies (2)

Now that the game is out, I really want to start mailing the guild on a weekly basis again. Problem is, I can't for the life of me find a way to do it in the game. There seems to be no way to mail the guild short of (maybe) adding every single name into a mail every time. I have seen multiple subjects on the official forums for this, and no response as of yet. So, if anyone figures it out, please let me know. This is driving me nuts. =P

Thanks.

  Our journey begins!
Posted by: Starfire - 12-20-2011, 05:24 PM - Forum: Star Wars: The Old Republic - Replies (3)

For those of you that have known me for a while, you know I have a flair for the dramatic. So while I know we have all been playing for a week already, I just wanted to say that the game has launched officially!

I've played a lot of games with this guild, from XvT, JK, and Rebellion to Starcraft, Vanguard and the roller coaster ride that was Galaxies. Every single one of them was better when played with friends. However, in the last couple of years we as a guild have been in a holding pattern. We have played some EVE, and dabbled in other games as well, but it hasn't been since before the NGE that we have had the kind of activity we have now. Personally, it is thrilling to see so many old faces return, some of which I haven't talked with in over a year. I also enjoy getting to know the new members in our ranks. Again, something that hasn't happened in far too long.

Anyway, before the comments of "Star is being long winded again" start popping up, I'll just say this. Old Republic is finally here after years of waiting, and I can't think of a better group of people to share it with.

Here's to the future, Sabers.

  SD-0 for 12/20/2011
Posted by: Hanak - 12-19-2011, 08:14 PM - Forum: Star Wars: The Old Republic - Replies (8)

Group up at 8:30 CST/9:30 EST in the Old Galactic Market on Coruscant 1.

So the last time we tried to take SD-0 down, he showed us how to be electrocuted. When we came back, he demonstrated how he uses lazers.

While we were unsuccessful in taking him down, the time is now ripe to give the new players on Coruscant a show. We are much more prepared for this now!

Here is what we have learned:
1] Should you have the targeted orange indicator on your character, look for the other character with that same indicator. RUN AWAY from each other.
2] When being attacked with the static electric attack he does with two claws, stay away from other people as you have incurred a static charge debuff that will damage people near you.

Afterward possibilities:
1] Should things go as smoothly as we hope, we'll hop on down to Coruscant 2 for some more epic loot from that SD-0.
2] Should there be enough level 20+ people, we may try for the Failed Experiment in the toxic wastes of Taris.

[Image: Screenshot_2011-12-20_21_34_10_855907.jpg]

3] We will group up for Bringing Down the Hammer and Athiss flashpoints and The Esseles should anyone need it.

  Afternoon Ops Group - 12/18
Posted by: Hanak - 12-17-2011, 12:39 PM - Forum: Star Wars: The Old Republic - Replies (8)

As soon as enough Sabers are available, we will commence our first Ops group to take down the first Heroic World Boss: SD-0!

After he goes down, we'll group up for flashpoints: The Esseles and Bringing Down the Hammer.

Should there be enough willing souls with a starship fit for travel to Taris, we'll take down The Failed Experiment as well.

I'm looking forward to seeing you Sabers this afternoon. Big Grin

(For those of you new to Saberwing, I usually coordinate group events or get other people started on coordinating. I also am the resident new member helper and recruitment officer.)
