Sorry for another new thread but I saw this and said it need it's own. We can only hope it is there at launch - I think I would cry.
"Ask A Jedi: At gamescom last year, you dropped a little hint about the possibility of guild capital ships. Is there any update you can give us on that?
James Ohlen: That's definitely on the wish list! Every single one of my senior designers loves that idea. All the way back in 2006 that was brought up in design. I was the mean design manager who was like "we have to finish a game here, we can't have ridiculous features like guild capital ships for launch! and they would say "we can get it in!
The community can know that almost every one of my senior designers is on the side of doing it. I'm pretty sure its eventually going to get in the game, because they'll beat me up until I promote it to the next feature. If it's not in for ship, it will definitely be a patch down the road.
Taken from PAX 2011 James Ohlen/Ask a Jedi interview."

Revolutionary feature with integrated story design.
In "'JOIN VIA HOLOCOM' button", Georg Zoeller said:

Sweet if that's correct then you don't have to wait for someone to get to the conversation they can just click the button and appear as a hologram.
Correct.
The purpose of this feature is to enable groups to play the story seamlessly together. You do not have to wait for all players to arrive an important quest NPC (since there's always the guy who lags behind in an MMO group anyway). People that are not within the range to initiate physical conversation may opt to join as a hologram instead.
Obviously certain choices will not be available to them (e.g. threatening or applying physical violence), so there is certainly a benefit of actually being there, but it definitely does the trick for many situations just fine.

Is development for this game taking to long? |

It is one of the most anticipated games for 2011. But it seems that it has been in development hell for quite awhile. Bioware is still sticking with its Spring/Q2 2011 release, but there should be more details being released each week.
I haven't really been reading the SWTOR boards but from the comments on the facebook page, people are starting to lose interest. There's the common comment that the game will be better if its not rushed, but look at Duke Nukem Forever. That has been in the works for over a decade, although the game has changed developers at least twice that I can think of. The other example would be SC2, which I did play in beta but its just not my type of game and it has done well with sales.
