Thats what they said about Vanguard too..... Now SOE owns the whole kit and kaboodle. If the game does really well, SOE "may" just stay publisher. But their MO as of late has been to buy all the competition. If they don't have 1 game that can equal WoWs subscription base, they'll aim for 10 games under their ownership that do as a collective. Not necessarily a bad thing if they all end up on the SOE All Access pass.

dont worry they aint touchin no more than reaail publicity and such and majority of cash goes to FLS so all SOE is doin is putting in shelves and beside FLS has the cash to support themselves at worst SOE gets it after 2 years so relax and enjoy it as long as possible

but the company for vanguard ran out of cash and no longer could support it so in a way SOE put it on a respirator an let current players still enjoy it. FLS has the money to hold it themslef and plus they setup pretty well so by fall it'll be near perfect. why does everybody have to shun a good game because of one company's mistakes if its good its good suck it up and stop !%@*$ing and enjoy it till you get tired of it . like i siad it wont go down the crapper right away like vanguard. With or wthout you guys im still playing it enjoy your SWG or vnaguard oh wait they're SOE too arent they derf. or or heres what you cna do go play WoW and njoy the repeative gameplay or EVE but wait isnt EVE the smae as Potbs. hmm oh it is only space and you cant leave your ship. hmm how was that guys hard to take swallow tarfyre: wonder why. oh ill tell ya cuz its true.

Actually I am beta testing Warhammer Online right now, and playing LOTRO on the side. Lil bit of eq2 too for shits and giggles on my new comp (it looks awesome) But that's going by the wayside now that I got into Warhammer beta. Main game I am looking forward to is Age of Conan, now thats going to be an awesome game, and SOE is unlikely to ever get their hands on it, Funcom is a good stable company. However, all these games are based on preference of playstyle.

If PotBS is what floats your boat (pun intended) then that is awesome for you =o) I hope it turns out to be a great game. I myself am not that interested in it, but that doesn't mean it will be crappy. Most games on the market and new on the market are good games with their pros and their cons. Don't lump us all in one MMO basket because we're a bit suspicious where SOE is involved.

Its a very likely thing that they are trying to get involved so that they can have a part in any competition. Any good business knows they have to diversify, so if they can have a thumb in every part of the MMO Genre pie, then that just makes them smart marketers. Again this doesn't mean the game will go down the crapper.

For all that people hate SOE, they've done a very good job on EQ1 and 2, although they aren't everyones cup of tea. Vanguard was an exception as it was going down hill fast even before it went live, and that was the fault of Sigil, not Sony.
