Usually the contracts like what LA would have had with SOE have a non-transference clause in them, so LA doesn't get stuck with their game being developed and run in a 3rd world country, case in point.

No idea how long before this buy out takes effect or when the servers go dark but it doesn't look so good right now.

Yeah, the story has since been retracted. It may be related to SOE wanting to have their games made available to India and they are working with this company to do so. Indians think they will own the world through crappy customer service or something like that, so them becoming a sub-contractor could easially be taken as them buying out SOE.

So, wait.. You mean instead of paying $300 million, they were PAID $300 million? How the Hell can you confuse that? What, they think SOE would pay THEM to take the company over? That'd be.. Well, let's just say I'd want in on that deal.
