SWG died a long time ago...just look at subscription numbers. You can only mess around with people giving you hundreds of dollars for so long before they decide to tell you to sod off. The only thing that would ever get me to come back in was if I had a mad desire to play in space...but I can play any number of flight sims to do that that I've owned for a long time, don't need to pay monthly for...

Play Guild Wars :-D

Hehe, people can have their own opinons as to weather they think SWG is dead or not. The game is still up for play, it is the only SW mmo that I know of at the moment so I will play it. Others still play it.

Heck even before the NGE, I and many others made our own content, mostly by just being together and makin our own fun. Space or ground, grinding the DWB for jetpacks, doin the corvette for your AV-21, or just havin a blast in PvP it is still SW, I get to be a jedi and swing my glow bat, /grin.

True subs are down, but there are still a lot of people playin. More come back, just like people go back to other games. I am not lookin to be flamed, but, if someone wants to come back to SWG then I will be there for them. Heck I hope to see more peeps come back, THAT is where the real fun is.

All I ask is pls dont be negative for the rest of us, or the few of us, if you will, that still play. Some of us do still enjoy SWG.

Honestly if it was free I'd come back, but not nearly as deep into it as I was. It got to the point with running the two stores, special orders, variety of hunts, and keeping on top of (read: ahead of everyone else!) on ship loot got to where it was a job, and then the constant bickering on the forums of what needs to be nerfed, what shouldn't have been nerfed, etc. Just got to be too much. Ryna and I say a lot that we miss the depth of the game, or as she puts it, the "girl game." Being able to decorate your own house, all the different clothing and ID options, and being able to custom build all your weaponry and armor are things I really miss. But I like unplugging more now than I did. Maybe it's just growing up :-p SWG was a home away from home MMO experience. What I play now, Guild Wars, is..um..a game :-p Guess that's what I want now!!

Katana mentioned something about that as well when I contacted her as in when I made my world of solarain ideas going on air, had a good old very long chat about old days and stuff too, both SWG, NwN and general other Ghost Legion games.

I agree with Tibs. Yeah, the game is a shadow of it's former self. But it is still fun when a lot of us get together.

Regardless, I hear a new Star Wars game will be announced next week. Here's hoping it's that new Clone Wars MMO thing they keep talking about.
