Uh.... Perhaps you should check that again Q, some of the console games out there are a match for any PC game graphics wise.

Yes but those PCs cost 5x - 10x as much. You put the computer power of 10 of those $200 xboxes together and you have something no PC can match. Granted if you have 10 xboxes your house will probably burn down but that is another issue.

true but using my system to handling of different other programs as well such as photoshop... different map editors and whatsoever else, that requires power.. such a nerd at times here lol.

It also generate my stereo and alot more other stuff... in need of alot of computer power and GFX power for alot of stuff... so well to cover those needs it appears like I would never need a console since it in my case would be spending unneccesary money for eg. playing one or two games...

so 5 x 200 bucks is 1000 dollars... dunno it may be expensive for just a system, but if you got the needs for anything else than just punching a joypad it would be worth it.

I wish 1000USD would do it whenever I ugrade my system completely... but again I need the raw power for newer versions of this and to operate in harsh ways... besides if I ended with a console I would prolly be buying to many 50USD games so either way it would even it out in the long row if posibly not more expensive with consoles over time, don't ask me about that one lol.

Not many can afford to upgrade their system constantly Q, I myself definitely can't do that. What I can do however is purchase 1 console that will run games until the next console system is released and never have to worry about upgrading said console.

dunno a computer is easy to upgrade.. buy a new GFX card open up chassis, remove screw and a cord, put in new GFX card and install driver, could probably be done for 200 bucks if in need to.

Add sóme more ram... likewise as above but remove stuff from ram socket or whatever, then replace with a new set or buy identical set to place in the two other ram sockets if available. could be done for 200 bucks too if not lower value.

IN either case it is a win win situation because the stuff you upgrade you can also use for other stuff than just gaming, dunno if it is good or bad really.

Desktop is hard to move fom A to B, but it could be a laptop, in which though is harsh to upgrade... but again what is it you need?

A toy or a tool? or both options in the same device?

lol they are worried about pc piracy they need to really be concerned about the 360s drive firmware exploit or the DS R4 cards or the wiis lack of copyprotection measurements also the PSP and the PS2 are a joke and were cracked along time ago the only console not hacked is the PS3 so if they want to have people actually buy the game it would have to only appear on the PS3 if ya want to look for your selves look on release logs web site the wii and 360 version of the game was posted two weeks before its street date like any other pirated release there is no reason not to release on the PC they are already losing any way more so on the consoles since they dont release games on the PC plus the copy protection is a pain when its used right for example starforce protection on prince of persia 3

The PS3 simply doesn't need any kind of copy protection. Who here even knows some one with a bluray burner?

sorry went on a tangent as far as Ps3 protection its handled by hyperviser it sits below any os that installed even linux and blocks unsigned code and access to the RSX also keep in mind to that hyperviser hides its processes making it near impossible to reverse engineer as far as blu ray burning is concerned the hyperviser prevents the access to the firmware to allow unsigned code sony learned alot from having the PSP hacked also look up bd 5 and 9 they are dvds with a blu ray disc architecture on them most disc writen this way are used with the avchd avi codec to compress HD video the only down side to this is to fit on the disc the audio quality is taken sd 5.1 or 2.1 also to answer the question of pc cost a good built system can last atleast 5 years and with advances it quad core processors and dual gpus the cost has gone down alot an intel 6600 quad core can be found for under 200.00 now and that from almost 600 from last year plus that processer can be overclocked by 1.6 ghz on each core
