Congrats on the new President

Watched alot of out of political interest, it is good to see that the Young People did not want to see the stuff keeping on heading in the wrong direction alongside with the different minorities.

This is huge guys, first time Black man as the President... I have to say I have to owe you guys some respect over there.

In the war way/terrorist way then the terror cells fear Obama more than McCain, main reason probably is behind thatthey would gain less support if any support from many of there supporters because it is now a Black man in the seat, in which I think is kinds cool, I hope for more world peace after this one in which certainly would create a better economy rather than spending all the credits on warfare, in which is mostly a waste anyway.

Just my thoughts.

Despite outside observations, this was not about electing a black President. We will see how this goes with the election of an extreme leftist as President of the US. I'm trying to be optimistic, but I really don't see how going from one extreme to another is going to be helpful. There will be no balance.

Well in the long long it would be best, trust me.. what you call an extremist is what where I live compared to that is far from, he is more to the right than the left, in other words in my eyes Obama is conservative with a good stench of socialismn as well.

No need to be scared, in Europe we have lived with that for years and well gotten alot out of it.

I foresee a new Golden Era for the people in the US, in which I am happy for and that hopefully would make there politics more civil during the next many years.

Sonic, seriously. I love ya, but you wouldn't know a liberal if one sat on your face. Obama is a centrist plain and simple. He has voted on many bills in favor of the right. If you really want to see true liberals, look at democracynow.org, the green party, the socialist party, etc. That is the true left. So you really have nothing to be afraid of as far as an extreme leftist in office. That has never happened in American politics (sadly) and probably never will.

You're missing my point, Star. We've got a party majority in the House and Senate, and despite the fact that Obama is only a 6 on your liberalism gauge, the fact remains that there's not going to be an appropriate balance in the system.

Sadly for us though, I don't think the terrorists will be afraid of Obama because he's black. Unfortunately he's not Samuel L. Jackson. That'd would have been pretty bad ass.

It's disapointing that the democrats have the majority in congress. Mostly because I tend to be conservative on social issues but I also worry about how they'll handle the war(s) and other foreign affairs. I know the republicans didn't handle it well either--it just seemed to me like a lose/lose situation all along.

It definitely will be interesting to see what they have to offer. I hope Obama is as good as he looked in his Obamamercial.

That said, I am very happy to see Obama win the general election. I believe he will do his best to clean up the 8 year mess.

Yes because 50% taxation and 10% unemployment with 1% GDP growth are good for everyone. Although I have to say I'm glad Obama got elected. McCain was a Republican in name only and never deserved to be the nominee. Now the Republicans have four years to get their house in order while everything that happens gets blamed on the party in power.

McCain was pretty much just going to be another Bush. He stated right at the start of his campaign that he "intended to stay in Iraq/Afghanistan for another 100 years if need be"

So for all you that wanted to vote McCain, hope you realize now that following him would ultimately lead to the Dark Side..... And more people hating the US then there currently is

Well social affairs is what the US lack of for good, it is so self centered in many ways in more like each person for his own instead of each group of its own.

Dunno making it more team based where everyone has to know a bit of everything to be able to work as team instead of each individual only know one thing and for doing something he or she only does that thing instead of a better flow.

Socialistic idealogy is only gonna be a good thing, over time it would be able to work together with the more right oriented side and vice versa, it is in my eyes a win win situation.

I know the election is over now, but can we please not call each others candidates evil?

Just because McCain lost, does not suddenly mean that his supporters will have some epiphany about what he would of done, the opposite is actually true because now we will never know.

Also, do not assume that, as a McCain supporter, I am not happy for Obama, or that I think he is any more or less evil than any other politician.

The republicans did a major, and I mean major fuck up. They were very very stupid and deserve to be unemployeed right now with all the others they made unemployed. Unfortunately for all of us, there is no difference between the republicans and democrates. They are all corprate stiffs that do what they are told. We need to hope the actual powers that be figure their shit out and start doing the right thing to turn this economy around. They cut the price of oil in half, which is a good start.

Just FYI, for us to clean up the mess we started we will probably have to stay in Iraq for another 100 years and to leave earlier than that may just be irresponsible and more of the 'Dark Side'. Hmm...we still have troops in Germany, in Japan, and no one is throwing a hissy fit on either side. But the issue is a restructuring of an entire social structure and to withdraw now would be in our worst interest possible and quite possibly the world's.

And people have been hating the US since it was founded - Brits, Native Americans, Americans, Germany, Russia, which is basically the world now....and the French have never been nice to anyone in the first place.
