I feel like i'm wasting my time on SWG

I know i've mentioned this before, but I feel like I no longer belong that i've being ignored especially when it comes to instance groups, I waste my time day after day waiting to get involved in any hoth or any other instance group yet nobody seems to be interested in inviting me altogether. I keep asking i'm interested in doing a hoth group, even AM or EK that are hard to come by these days. I hate to complain but this is getting out of hand and I don't especially like how i'm being thrown in the back burner, sure it's the holidays and I can understand were all abit too occupied but even when it isn't it's still hard for me to get involved altogether. Believe me I hate asking over and over again but it's like it goes through the ears of other players and out the other. Sure vent or voicechat doesn't do me any favors either and maybe that's my downfall or maybe it's my profession but i'm not going to change the template or profession i've chosen to be. And I may not have many contacts when it comes to other guilds with maybe the exception of T'omo and a few others but even that is hard to comeby, come to think of it I get the impression that there are alot of players out there that only think of themselves rather than the players that need to accomplish something, i've been working my ass off in this game, I mean afterall I was a dedicated gcw grinder and one of the first generals on starsider as just one of the many examples. Sure we can't all help getting invites to other instance groups but it does help asking away suggesting if there are any spots open to let those in need to get involved too because I could definately use the help especially with D'hors not being on as much as he used too. If this keeps up i'll have no choice but to join another guild that will appreciate my talents more because i'm really getting frustrated how things are being handled in these instance groups as of late and i'm not pointing fingers to anyone, just so everyone knows, i'm not the type of person who plays the blame game.

None offense Cillian... but the problem often remain in your profession of choice, not saying this because 'I hate jedi' or whatever, but why don't you try and use your alt BH for the instance stuff, mainly if there is a general problem getting some work done.

It is not like that I would not like doing stuff with you as it is.. but you have to think about it is really sour that alot of the stuff around works best with max 2 jedi in a group, with the number of Jedi on server it gets even more mean, it really limits the profession bu alot for instance use.. for GCW well you are free to go anywhere there no matter profession.

Another side is availability... if you are not there when the instance is going and that you have had been AFK for lets say 2 hours.. then your spot would be filled in with someone else.

I don't think another guild is the answer as in you would most likely run into the same problem as it is, it is none offense meant to anyone during this either, but any other profession just has way many more options and often it bounds out in ranged DPS.

The days where any successfull group was awesome was in the period pre NGE where a full Jedi group was unbeatable with there various ways of being able to do stuff, but the problem is now is that Jedi still is the most wanted class to do no matter if they can do stuff or not in which also is there curse, because the game does not sway that way anymore, they have rebuild the game for alot of diversity being needed for having a successfull gameplay.

The server shut downs happens in next month and by that there would come rather a shitload of new players to starsider, in which would end up in a more interesting gameplay as well.

Even as a commando here it has not been easy to find the good groups or groups that really work for instances... it has made me very picky mainly for some key reasons.. eg Jedi who cannot tank... eg a medic that cannot heal... eg a DPS class that screws up everythng or whatever... which has made me paranoid and only wanting to go with some few people that I really trust myself.

Respec to medic. I get the feeling no one will have a problem including you in a group then.

Hullo ??? it's the xmas holidays ... people have lives . Not everyone waistes 12 hours of thier life daily lost in swg , a video game .

in the last week I've been on 3 instance runs none of them hoth . an it's been almost two weeks since I last was in a hoth group ... my last hoth group you were in cillian .

the flawless hero of echo base title . is held by less then 1% of the servers total population . Why ? because the instance is that dang hard . When you get a flawless you earned it you worked your ass off for it . Ask Quor , or anyone else whose gotten the title . It didn't come easily nor was it just handed to them . they earned it .

with it being xmas / new years alot ALOT of people are away or not able to stay logged in for long periods to run instances . Expecting just because one person logs in that instances are gonna happen . Is completly unrealistic .

and as others have pointed out time and time again . Jedi represents 90% of the server ... medics like 2% , comandos an bh's an officers an smugglers an spies combine for the 6% with 1 % to entertainers an 1% to traders . that's the breakdown . Instances to be successfull requires 2 medics , 1 officer , 3 dps of either smuggler , commando , bh,spy etc ... and two jedi .

Do the math , as a jedi your up against 90% of the server in wanting the jedi group spots ... So as a jedi what makes jedi jayne more desirable to take over jedi joe ? that's what it comes down too more often then not . Don't like it ? then cry to SoE to make jedi an alpha over powered proff once again an bring back pre nge days were all jedi groups were unstopable .

going to a different guild isn't likely to change things . Instances are a pain in the ass to put groups together . putting groups that work very well together to get things done , even more difficult . Don't belive it ? then put your own groups together an go into instances ... It aint easy to pull off . An contacts while they help ... isn't always the solution . there is the search function it does work ... sure pick up groups have a good chance to fail . There are the rare times when pick up groups don't suck an you can get the job done . it's totally random what mixed bag of people you get .

this includes not just hoth but AM, EK (just need one more AM for my fourth Dark Fury) at this moment in time the others not so much, i'm just suggesting when everything (The Holidays) does cool down that we concentrate on helping one another abit more. I hope your not applying whenever i'm in a hoth group with you guys I don't work hard enough for a flawless Kat because that's further from the truth in regards I have been working my ass off even following your example and D'hors as best I can. It's been a learning experience for all of us and I think I have been doing quite well so far even though SOE screwed it up for me in one of them in the final phase. Sure I made a few mistakes along the way, we all have! But i'm going to keep trying till I do get a flawless because even though this is just a game but having a flawless makes me feel I have acomplished something important in this game, just like when I was there when Restuss fell, just like when I was one of the first rebels on starsider getting a General rank, that's how bad I want it at this point even more than getting the permafrost.

I have no interest in switching professions because I feel it's a waste of time and money and i've invested too much into Jedi not to mention I never give up something that easily.

I don't want an alpha class around again.. either people play as jedi or not... personally I would prefere not to play as one because I would have even less fun playing the game... could probably become a wicked mean one.. but it is not the trick as it is.

As Kat said there is 90% jedi in game.. and it reflects on for most jedi that it is very harsh to get a group that want you except if you have a very good reputation... that needs to be build on... any idiot can PvP... but as for instances there is a hell of alot more math in how stuff is done.

I understand your want for the Echo Base badge Cill. Although I'm sure you are more after the title, and aren't distracted by shiny things like I am. I am just another clone Jedi, but I will help in any way that I can. Maybe on a Tues Wed or Thurs I can get a spot in a group and then give it to you. One Jedi is just as good as another one. Frankly, I think you play the profession better than I do. I'm still stuck in the PreNGE glory days.

Don't worry, we will get you that flawless somehow. Maybe we can set a date for when we will all be on and give it a shot? I'll be free the week after next Tues Wed or Thurs.

Agreed with above. I'd love to help in any way I can with my limited play time.

However I must say accusing guildmates of leaving you out in the cold is unwarranted. We have a great group of people in guild. I've only been on SS for a few months but I've found EVERY member of SBR to be classified as "good peeps"!

Finally got a flawless victory! things ran smoothly as it was suppose to be, just wanna thank D'hors, Kat, Quortek especially for the awesome effort lastnight. Now all I need is two more hoth tolkens then I can get my permafrost crystal

What I seen Jedi profs have droped alot less then what it use to be.
