Who wants to play some games?

#1
So with SWTOR kind of coughing up an early death rattle, what other games are we playing or would like to start? Battlefront II is adding Clone Wars content later this year which sounds awesome. I know a few of us are addicted to Fortnite, and EVE still has it's loyalists. SWG is still an option thanks to the EMU, even though our town just evaporated...

Basically, I am just putting out some feelers about where we can go next. SWTOR probably has about a year left, but it is time to start thinking about the future. Maybe a rotating game night, or a weekly/monthly gathering. (Online gathering I mean, but we are due for another real life one too.)

Thoughts?

I've got the new Battlefront and would love to have a day that we all play together. Jesh suggested D&D on Roll20 which is another option that I think would be awesome, but that may take a bit more work. Definitely something I'm potentially interested in though, and it seems like something people could potentially drop in and out of. I saw Sabs post in the 5e Facebook group I'm in so she might be interested also.

Meryl posted about STO which I've played before, seemed fun but without other people to play with I got bored.

This is going to sound really sad, but I still play Planetside 2 and not much else....... Lately I've been playing physical games like X-wing and Legion at game stores.

We could do some battlefront, I don't have it but could get it.

However, did you guys check out the new Fallout 76?

Um. Well, I'm for EVE, however I do know that there are individuals completely against it, such as... everyone except Pallos and I. I'm open to anything, really. Just let me know what game.

What are we Sith? Just cause we aren't for something doesn't mean we are against it. With that said, EVE is a life style, not a game. It is good though just not something we can do once a week or so.

With the alpha program, you can do some fun roaming type small scale stuff. Even if you eat breathe and sleep eve for years you still aren't likely to be a major player. But if you are willing to do some pre Skilling ( start a toon and just do updating skill queue for a month) and then play, you can have a halfway useful character to do pvp roams in. I would be willing to bankroll this type of thing for anyone that wants to play, so you don't need to worry about pve if you just want to explode some space ships.

What is Roll 20? That like an online D&D thing? (I know I have access to the wide world of the interwebs, but it is more fun to ask.)

Sounds like enough of us would be willing to play the Battlefront games. I only have the first one, but if the plan is for a weekly gathering of the second I'll pony up for a copy.

On a side note, I played some Fortnite last weekend. I am terrible at that game. I mean really, really bad.

Well, looks like there are plenty of options for us to play. To start, lets get everyone together again to hash it out and play something simple in the meantime.

As for times, the best for me would be Friday or Saturday evenings. I figure that aligns with most everyone's schedules as well. Which one of those would be best for you?

Overwatch is also an option, if we're going to go the FPS route. Plus it's a lot more forgiving on the hardware, though I hear Fortnite is optimized fairly well, also. If we stay Star Wars, as we have traditionally, Battlefront (I/II) would be our current modern options.
