Ok the reviews are in. They aren't saying this movie sucks, instead the critics are flat out asking Lucas to stop making movies altogether it is this bad.

I kinda sorta want to see this but at the same time I don't want to watch a sucky movie, yet you know, it is the start for the tv show, so you have to watch this to watch that. Blah

My Aussie buddy is going to see it tonight in London here in Canada, he's getting in free so regardless of if it sucks or not, he won't be mad :lol:

Ok, since when did aussies live in London and when did they move London to Canada? And I thought moving the London bridge to AZ was impressive.

I just got back from seeing it, and it had everything that normal Star Wars movies have. Cheesy dialog, great battles, fantastic lightsaber fights, and writing that attempts humor and almost achieves it. It was decent and I look forward to the show.

Ok I went and saw it. First, it has no story so no reason to see it just for the up coming series. Second, I went into it thinking it would be god awful and well, while I am no long in the target demographic it wasn't bad. I wouldn't call it good either, since the writing is video game level and not feature film quality. The animation is stylized and just fine. It can be down right pretty at times. Yes the models are lacking polygons so things are boxy but the texturing is consistent and the movement is good. They are just using all the old equipment rather than throwing it out for this. Still the talent is there which is nice, well at least for the animation. The story writers need to go back to school and learn what a story is, then maybe some day they can learn to appreciate a good story written by someone else.

So now that the series is out, what do people think of it?

Kinda of light entertainment. The animation may add something to it but it seems to lack something the other Clone Wars cartoon had. Maybe it is more violence or it takes the older one took itself more seriously despite having shorter episodes.

Hmm.. It's got some comedy, but it's not like a total kiddy ripoff. In all honesty, I kinda like it. Looks like they are putting in Y-Wings.. Or at least something that looks similar. The fact that they spent an entire episode in space is a good indication that this series is likely to be more like Star Wars than the last few movies. ;p

Can never, ever have enough Stars and Wars in Star Wars.

Nice to see Y-wings of some flavor in there. Those ships were suppose to be old tech by the time of ANH yet we didn't see them in the prequels. You think a galatic republic that existed a thousand years wouldn't burn through tech every 5 years. Vintage should be 50+ years old, not last years model.

It seem to be so dead here in Denmark.. then new clone stuff that is, just being honest... but I certainly think it is a failure in some ways :/

It's a kids' show Q. You're in the wrong demographic to enjoy it. Get use to that. As you get older everything becomes more sucky, except for high fiber diets, those are great, keep you regular.
