It is bullshit.. even my back then when I was a kid did not want to buy me transformer toys.

It is just a PR stunt... and not everlasting movies.. in 40 years they might have some cult status.. rated B-Movies as they are now as well.

Where is the movies that would be remembered forever now a day?

Btw I got the same tendency with Video games.. there may be released 100 games... and yet I only buy one or two of them if any.

Well it is a professional B-Movie then... B-Movies now aday usually also got huge budgets and are force released everywhere including.. in which you forget they pump people with ads so they go and watch the piece of crap and then they go home and think about why they did do it since they wasted 2 hours of there precious time on a bad movie that would had been better if looted on the internet for free.

Low budget movies are not always exactly B-Movies... it is the content that rate the movie good or bad.

I wouldn't call transformers a B movie. It is an insult to B movies. It is a very nice commercial though. They should show it during the supper bowl.

Star Trek can shove it too. Seriously, I am getting tired as hell of 'reboots'. Just take everything good, piss all over it's past, rebrand it, market it, and sell it again over and over. Weee.

Well it is a plot against humanity and the way humans react then they flock into groups trying to be accepted, instead of just going there own way.. thinking for themself.

Eh, out of everything recently made and coming up Star Trek at least looks enjoyable. That and they aren't really butcherizing it to pieces from what I've read, just filling in back story.

Just saw Star Trek. It is space porn, pure and simple with all the good and bad that goes with it. It is another reboot though, so expect them to disreguard much of the past work. It is a hell of a lot better than Star Trek 5. Worth seeing.

Um... Star Trek isn't a 'reboot'. If you actually pay attention, it's an 'alternate timeline' where things turned out different from how they did in the show. In doing so, they can avoid having it called a 'reboot' and yet have it show the crew coming together. I for one really enjoyed it, planning on going to see it again too.

Now Wolverine, that movie flopped =/ Was still good, but definitely a letdown

A reboot by any other name.... How long has it been since they did a trek movie from the original cast? Now they just recast them all cept one. They'll be making more with this cast too, so yes, it is a full blown reboot.

wolverine , terminator salvation ( got dragged to yesterdays midnight showing ... ) , were both nothing more then series reboots and quick cash grabs . Star Trek managed to bring smiles to my youngest child so I guess it was worth the admission prices . I found they should have left the whole franchise of star trek alone . Now thier doing nothing more then flogging a dead horse in a reboot . ALternative timeline we've seen this plot done how many times now ? ... no bury star trek an leave it as a part of cult tv history .

With disney cancelled the narnia chronicles movies ... Not really sure what up comming movies are comming out that don't look like they got flop and cash grab written all over it ....

I'm tempted to see tom hanks new movie comming out that's a sequal to davinchi code . But even that I've heard mixed reviews on . / shrug .

And they have yet to beat star trek they they have James Bond. Movies in general are a cash grab but the latest batch really have been nothing more than a cash grab. Sad really, the beginning of the decade rocked for movies and not they all suck.

I've two younglings arch ... youngest is 7 an the oldest is 9. Love them both tons .

and agreed about movies ... 2000 -2006 movies were great !!! lately the past couple years they all have sucked worse then a root canal preformed without the anesthetic ..

Well I agree.. we prostitute ourself to this new way... and it is a sad thing to see.

I personally can't be bothered to over-analyze the new movies coming out. If it looks like it might be a relatively good time, i'll go and leave my jaded preconceptions at the door. I am lucky if I can get out to see a movie now, so when I go, I enjoy it. Especially if its an action flick of any kind. I think it takes way too much energy to be that cynical, but thats just my 2 cents.

And Q, technically the movie industry is prostituting itself to us, as they are the ones being paid... Although it'd be pretty cool to be paid to go see movies in the Theatre. =oP
