That moment you realize you can't be a great writer

Because you can't delay gratification long enough to make a character death brilliant. If you saw (or read) game of thrones you know what I mean. The payoff on that storyline that has been working its way through I don't know how many books and four years of a TV series was fantastic. How they could sit on that so long is unreal.

Look I didn't even spoil it. And since it's game of thrones, telling you someone died is like telling you water is wet.

Edit: However Arch did spoil it so stop reading here if you don't want to ruin it.

I haven't read the books (they have been around over two decades, and it is 6 seasons to get to this point) so I've been on youtube which has endless theories about Game of Thrones from who is who's daddy to what are the white walkers, to who will win the game, etc. No one, and I mean NO ONE, got this.

Which is said, because the entire point of this whole series of ice and fire books and TV show was a social experiment. An experiment who's conclusion has people running toward a closing elevator door yelling "Hordor".

I have to admit that after getting burned out on the super long, never ending, door stopper books, with it's never ending plot lines and hundreds of characters that I haven't watched the show. But everyone keeps talking about how awesome it is, I may have to finally give it a shot.

But there's so much great TV out there right now, and I have to fit it in somehow around my own writing. Mr. Robot, which might be my favorite thing I've seen on TV in years, starts season two soon and I just finished season two of Daredevil - which, by the way, features your boy the Punisher. If you haven't checked it out, you really should. Daredevil himself kind of sucks, but both the Punisher and the Kingpin make that show worth watching. Jon Bernthal might have been annoying as hell on The Walking Dead but he really, really knocked it out of the park as Frank Castle.

That's the problem with waiting for DVD or netflix, everyone spoils everything too soon. I DVR'd and someone half spoiled it for me before i got home.

And also yes, the Punisher is the greatest "super hero" ever. He just gets really angry and shoots stuff. I can relate.
