just came back from watching it myself... it is a good movie it lives up the what the two first movies was, two different views in it, never was the ultimate car goes into fire sort of thing unless something serious really happens.
Movies like X-Men and Spiderman or whatever else is by no way able to live up to the ways compared to how the Batman movies appearently live up to this and that.
The reason is reality as well as the answer. people just get fed up with super natural powers, batman always seem to have psychos on the run... including batman himself who also is a loon in many ways, the criminal elements usually is cloaked personalities as it is, don't mention people like mr freeze or whatever else who never let life into the movies as it is.
Always liked Batman the best with persons like Rahs'al'gul... the penguin.. joker etc... mainly because they where more human than some sort of guy that can shoot laser with his eyes or throw out webs with his hands.
