There seems to be a limit of 50k for the preorder to get in early. So they are doing a soft launch of the game.

You do get an early access code through Amazon in the mail. No idea how many Amazon will sell before they run out.

Anna and I have our copies. We got one super edition and one regular. We got them from Amazon this morning.

In for two CE, from Amazon. Pain in the ass, had to use two different logins, one of which does not have Prime. Almost fell out of bed when I saw the email trying to run to the pc. Code from Amazon came about 5 minutes later, don't forget to put the validation code into SWTOR.com. I'm guessing that early entry may give you a download of the game so that they don't get bitched at for late shipping. cy:

I've gotta wait 20 minutes for EB Games (GameStop) to open up here locally so I can go in and get my pre-order put down, if their out of the CE by the time I get there I'll be pissed...

since i'm from canada I tried registering from gamestop.ca but there is no information on pre-ordering the old republic on there....what a ripoff

Yea Canada's getting the shaft for the pre-order... Somehow I'm not surprised.. Fuck you Corporate America... I'm thinking of calling GameStop and asking them about that... Or even just going straight to BioWare's inhouse sales dept, although I imagine I'd have a Hell of a time reaching them lol

Even Mexico has it but not you guys....I think this is Canada's fault....

Nope it's GameStop's fault, seems their slowly sending the info over to GameStop Canada, I've got the standard edition pre-ordered now, just have to wait until they get all the info the CE, then they'll automatically upgrade me to that. Already heard back from BioWare, their not overly impressed we don't have the info yet and their investigating it. If I don't get the pre-order goodies then I'll be email BioWare back and let them know and they'll look into that too.

Yeah, I do that all the time, though usually it's just urine. Luckily my kidneys aren't so shot yet they I pee straight coffee.

You know, I felt like a dumb ass for ordering the CE and some how, seeing so many other people ordering the CE makes me still feel like a dumb ass but a dumb ass with company. I guess those Gentle Giant statues run around $60 each so it may not be a cheap piece of crap. Still that is way too much money to spend on a game.

BTW for those Canadians refusing to surrender, you can order from Amazon.US but you pay the import fees etc. Also I got a CE from Amazon and a CE from Origin.com. Last night when these went on sale Origin was the first place that had them and it seemed maybe they will be the only place. They took about an hour to process the order, cause they are run by EA, and I didn't know if I got a copy or not or how fast they were selling out, so I picked one up from Amazon, which took 30 secs to do. Later I find out I have a second copy from Origins. Not sure if I want to hold on to that and sell it or cancel that order. Just saying there is another copy of the CE around if anyone needs it, though I most likely will cancel since I really don't want to be in $300 on the game before it even comes out.

On a related note, I remember years ago ordering SWG from Amazon but not having it in on launch day and running off to Gamestop in town to buy it. I ended up with two boxes that way. At the time I felt like a moron for buying two copies of SWG. Today, I don't feel so bad about that since I just spent twice the amount for two SWG boxes for one copy of TOR. Such a dumbass

Don't feel so bad Arch. I was checking e-Bay and one person already sold a copy of the CE for $275.

Also, alot has changed since SWG's launch. You'll be able to download the whole thing before you even have disks.
