Weekend World Bosses

#1
The purpose of this thread is to put up pictures and share stories of taking down the different world bosses Saberwing has encountered and taken down.

Pictures, stories, and kudos are all welcome!

LATEST UPDATE: 2/12/2012 Took down the Belsavis world boss, had to use some interesting tactics on that one. Split up into 3 pairs to keep adds from ganging up on anyone and took them down after the main guy was dead. Loot was good! But no schem drop. After this we went to Hoth and took on Snowblind. Best thing to do was to group up and heal when the snow popped because if we ran out of the snow it increased the chance he might reset.

Group up in the late afternoon/early evening. Possible groups before lunch for a single boss takedown.

If you are getting antsy for a group, feel free to get it together.

WAIT for everyone in group to get to the boss before starting.

Don't be rude, rather 'Return with Honor'.

Here is what we have learned from the World Bosses:

Boss - Planet - Nearest Taxi Location

SD-0 on Coruscant - Old Galactic Market
1] Should you have the targeted orange indicator on your character, look for the other character with that same indicator. RUN AWAY from each other.
2] When being attacked with the static electric attack he does with two claws, stay away from other people as you have incurred a static charge debuff that will damage people near you.

Subject Alpha on Taris - Outpost Draay
1] He does a single target DOT acid attack, healers should be able to purge this.
2] Watch out for some area damage he likes to do, this is especially dangerous to lower level groups.

Trapjaw on Tatooine - Outpost Thorazan
1] Multi target stun, be ready for it.
2] He does a seemly random ranged attack so watch the outer ranged people to hit them with some heals.

Battledroid R4-GL on Nar Shaddaa - Lower Industrial Sector, MAP: http://i41.tinypic.com/1yr0j5.jpg
1] Interruptable, but when his health is at 50% you can no longer interrupt.
2] Watch for mobs that may respawn in the center.

Ulgo Seigebreaker on Alderaan - Wardpost Hurne
1] He targets healers. So physician, heal thyself.
2] Guard the healers before you go into battle and healers stay close to your guard.

Rogue Cartel Warbot on Quesh - Republic Base, MAP: http://i42.tinypic.com/9gkpx3.jpg
1] More info coming as we attack him more....he's a pain though.

So on a wild hare ride, Sabers got together Monday, January 2nd, 2012 to take down a few world bosses.

Starting in Nar Shaddaa, we ran through the maze of the lower industrial sector into network security and took down the droid that has no pictures (sorry folks).

After that we traveled to Tatooine and met Trapjaw, who fell into our trap.

After this we ran to Alderaan to try to take down Ulgo Seigebreaker but he was not available for death. So we killed overt Imps and ran through Castle Parval like crazy folk. We did eventually take him down with a few peeps about 2 hrs after we went our seperate ways.

A very fun evening Sabers!

Ulgo Siegebreaker also has an area of attack move that you can dodge by running out of the targeting circle. The circle is hard to see because it is underwater, though.

And he has one move that attacks the person with the second highest threat, which was the healer the one time I was there to fight him.

Time to take some down again! When ever we get a group of Sabers on, these bosses are meeting their end:

Snowblind
LEVEL: 44
LOCATION: Hoth
CORDS: 400,1100 (Walking around the roads in the heroic area here)
MAP: http://i40.tinypic.com/dd04es.jpg
PICTURE: http://tor.zamimg.com/torhead/uploads/images/4144.jpg

Gargath
LEVEL: 49
LOCATION: Hoth
CORDS: -2200.500 (Patrols the area there called 'Gargaths Watch')
MAP: http://i41.tinypic.com/10s7us7.jpg
PICTURE: http://tor.zamimg.com/torhead/uploads/images/3871.jpg

For this last one - if you haven't had a chance - get what you need for the magenta crystal and we'll make a stop by Ilum to kill that mob before we kill...

The Primal Destroyer
LEVEL: 50
LOCATION: Belsavis
CORDS: -450,-3450 (In the middle of the lake)

Find an access panel on any moisture vaporator on Tatooine, after accessing it you will receive a buff that says you are refreshed. (Don't die or you'll lose the buff)

Head to Hoth, Outpost Dreviad. There will be a long skinny section here. Midway on the right side is a mountain top. The access point is south of the Ootaluan area. When you get near the peak you'll get a debuff and in your inventory you'll have shockfrozen water.

actually ... only one person in the group needs to have the shockwater .

you use it to trigger the boss on illum . you kill boss on illum . Everyone in the group / ops team loots the crystal formation that spawns on boss death . the crystal formation gives the gemstone reagent used to craft the magenta crystal .

then hit belsavis world boss an pray it drops the artifacing schematic . requires 400 artiface to craft .

the end . it's not a difficult boss to kill . 3 people at level 50 can kill him easily . boss being the illum boss ... the belsavis world boss another matter entirely ...

I was thinking of using my extra shockwater for other things....

The Belsavis World Boss we have down. Figured out a nice little trick to it that wasn't bad at all. Split the group into 3 pairs that each take care of eachother and tank the adds that spawn and then the rest take down the main boss. Once we set that up it was cake.

Glad to see you on the forums Kat! It's been too long Big Grin
