No I hated it for multiple reasons. The main two though are...
1. Michael Bay's directing "style". (Weak on plot, big on racism and over the top patriotism. Oh, and lots of explosions.)
2. It was a two hour long GM commercial. Along with other frivolous product placement of course. It reminded me of the Truman Show. This is coming from a happy Ford and Pontiac owner mind you. So I take no sides. (For once. ) I just thought it was silly. I mean the scene where they destroyed the Mustang... why was that necessary?
While the robot designs weren't what I expected, that wasn't the issue. If someone else had directed it, (and gotten the funding from someone other than a freaking car company), it would have more than likely been a better movie.
