The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Trailer

No I hated it for multiple reasons. The main two though are...

1. Michael Bay's directing "style". (Weak on plot, big on racism and over the top patriotism. Oh, and lots of explosions.)

2. It was a two hour long GM commercial. Along with other frivolous product placement of course. It reminded me of the Truman Show. This is coming from a happy Ford and Pontiac owner mind you. So I take no sides. (For once. ) I just thought it was silly. I mean the scene where they destroyed the Mustang... why was that necessary?

While the robot designs weren't what I expected, that wasn't the issue. If someone else had directed it, (and gotten the funding from someone other than a freaking car company), it would have more than likely been a better movie.

Racism? I hate to tell you Star, but if you think that the movie was racist then all movies are racist. The case in fact, is that most of all movies have stereotypes of some sort. Which brings me to my point of stop being so damn sensitive. (Oh and before you even go there, both sides of my family are German and suffered for it during WWII, so don't even think that my family doesn't know about racism).

Over the top patriotism? What showing the U.S. soldiers as good guys. OMG its the end of the freaking world. I guess you'd rather watch Jarhead or some other over the top hate the U.S. soldier movie. I mean really what is the deal with people hating our soldiers being portrayed in a positive light. (For once).

As for plot, meh its Transformers, what are you expecting Shakespeare, or Hemmingway? The plot fits the type of movie it was, which is just an action movie based off an old cartoon. I think people build up these movies to be Epic moments in their lives. Its just a movie, it was just a show, get a grip

Finally we come to the commercial part, we live in a capitalist society. I know its hard to believe, but we do. I own a Jeep, love my Jeep and really don't like Chevy. Did I give a crap that there were Chevies throughout the movie? Not in the least.

I agree with DDD to be honest. But about the commercial part, it made me want to buy a Mustang and a Pavelow III :tongue:
